devil’s claw

devil’s claw, a perennial herb, Harpagophytum procumbens, native to southern Africa. Its dried tubular secondary roots and lateral tubers are used to improve digestion and generalized pain. It is also used in homeopathy for arthritic disorders and in folk medicine for a wide variety of disorders.
