Coronaviridae

Coronaviridae /kôr′ənəvir″idē/ , a family of four antigenic groups of single-stranded ribonucleic acid viruses. Some strains of the organism are associated with upper respiratory infections in humans. One example from this family is the virus that causes SARS (severe acute respiratory syndrome).
