clomiPRAMINE /klōmip′rämēn/ , a tricyclic antidepressant of the dibenzazepine class, used in the form of the hydrochloride salt, also used as an antianxiety agent. Used in the treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder, bulimia nervosa, cataplexy associated with narcolepsy, and chronic severe pain.
