INDICATIONS: It is prescribed in combination with vinblastine and bleomycin in the treatment of neoplasms such as metastatic testicular, prostatic, and ovarian tumors, and Hodgkin’s lymphoma. CONTRAINDICATIONS: Preexisting renal dysfunction, myelosuppression, hearing impairment, or known hypersensitivity to this drug or other drugs containing platinum prohibits its use. ADVERSE EFFECTS: Among the most serious adverse reactions are nephrotoxicity, ototoxicity, myelosuppression, severe nausea, anorexia, vomiting, and allergic reactions.
