ciguatoxin

ciguatoxin /se′gwätok″sin/ , a heat-stable toxin originating in a dinoflagellate as a pretoxin and concentrating in active form in the tissue of certain marine fish (usually tropical reef fish), causing ciguatera in humans who eat the fish.
