canthus /kan″thəs/ pl. canthi [Gk, kanthus, corner of the eye] , the angle at the medial and the lateral margins of the eyelids. The medial canthus opens into a small space containing the opening to a lacrimal duct. Also called palpebral commissure. −canthical, adj.
