bulimia

bulimia /bo̅o̅lim″ē·ə/ [Gk, bous, ox, limos, hunger] , a disorder characterized by an insatiable craving for food, often resulting in episodes of continuous eating and often followed by purging, depression, and self-deprivation. Also called binge eating. See also anorexia nervosa.
