Bucky diaphragm

Bucky diaphragm [Gustav P. Bucky, American radiologist, 1880–1963; Gk, diaphragma, partition] , a moving grid that limits the amount of scattered radiation reaching a radiographic image receptor, thereby increasing the contrast. Also called Bucky grid.
