bladder flap

bladder flap, (Informal) the vesicouterine fold of peritoneum incised during low cervical cesarean section so that the bladder can be separated from the uterus to expose the lower uterine segment for incision. The flap is reapproximated with sutures during closure to cover the uterine incision. See also cesarean section.
