bisferious pulse /bisfer″ē·əs/ [L, bis + ferire, to beat] , an arterial pulse that has two palpable peaks, the second of which is slightly weaker than the first. It may be detected in cases of aortic regurgitation and obstructive cardiomyopathy. Compare dicrotic pulse.
