biotherapy

biotherapy, a type of cancer therapy that uses agents to stimulate the body’s own immune system to kill cancer. The term is sometimes used interchangeably with targeted therapy. Kinds include interleukin, interferon, hematopoietic growth factor. See also immunotherapy.
