bacterial laryngitis

bacterial laryngitis, an inflammation of the larynx caused by a bacterial infection and usually associated with rhinosinusitis or laryngotracheal bronchitis. Signs of a bacterial infection are a cough and purulent rhinorrhea. The infection is treated with antibiotics. See also laryngitis.
