autoinfusion

autoinfusion /-infyo̅o̅″zhən/ , a technique for forcing blood from the extremities to the body core by applying bandages or a pressure device. It may be used to control bleeding, increase blood pressure, and, in surgery, to create a relatively bloodless surgical field.
