ascorbemia

ascorbemia /as′kôrbē″mē·ə/ [Gk, a, not; AS, scurf, scurvy; Gk, haima, blood] , the presence of ascorbic acid in the blood in amounts greater than normal, usually reflecting only an excess of ascorbic acid intake. The condition is usually due to the use of ascorbic acid (vitamin C) supplements.
