Anisakis

Anisakis /an′i·sa′kis/ [Gk, an, not, without + isos, equal + akis, point] , a genus of nematodes of the superfamily Ascaridoidea; species A. marina is the usual cause of human anisakiasis. Its organisms are found in the stomachs of marine animals and birds. Human infection occurs by ingestion of raw fish that contain larvae.
