angiogenin

angiogenin /an′jē·ōjen″in/ , a protein that mediates the formation of blood vessels. A single-chain basic protein cloned from molecules of the tumor angiogenesis factor (TAF) in human colon cancer cells, angiogenin is used experimentally to stimulate the development of new blood vessels.
