Amanita

Amanita [Gk, amanitai, fungus] , a genus of mushrooms. Some species, such as Amanita phalloides, are poisonous, causing hallucinations, GI upset, and pain that may be followed by liver, kidney, and central nervous system damage. Also called death cap.
