aerosinusitis

aerosinusitis /er′ōsī′nəsī″tis/ [Gk, aer + L, sinus, curve; Gk. itis] , inflammation, edema, or hemorrhage of the frontal sinuses, caused by an expansion of air within the sinuses when the barometric pressure is decreased, as in an aircraft at high altitudes. Also called barosinusitis.
