adjustable orthodontic band

adjustable orthodontic band /adjus″təbəl/ , a thin metal ring, usually made of stainless steel, equipped with an adjusting screw to allow alteration in size, that is fitted to a tooth and allows the attachment of orthodontic appliances. See also orthodontic band.
