acute urethral syndrome

acute urethral syndrome [Gk, ourethra, urethra, syn, together, dromos, course] , new, rapid-onset painful urination, urinary frequency, and suprapubic pain, most commonly associated with recent vigorous coitus and/or infection with gonorrhea or Chlamydia. Urethral discharge may be present.
