acromioclavicular articulation

acromioclavicular articulation /-mī′ōklavik″yələr/ , the gliding joint between the acromial end of the clavicle and the medial margin of the acromion of the scapula. It forms the most superior portion of the shoulder. The joint has six ligaments.
