coupled pacing

coupled pacing, a pacemaker mode designed to apply electrical stimulation near the end of the T-wave to create a retrograde activation of the atrioventricular (AV) node and in turn to prevent rapid ventricular conduction during atrial fibrillation (AF). See pacing.
