corditis

corditis /kôrdī″tis/ [Gk, chorde + itis, inflammation] , an inflammation of the spermatic cord, accompanied by pain in the testis, often caused by an infection originating in the urethra or by a tumor, hydrocele, or varicocele. Inflammatory conditions of the testis may lead to swelling and tenderness.
