conjugated hyperbilirubinemia, hyperbilirubinemia caused by defective excretion of conjugated bilirubin by the liver cells or by anatomical obstruction to bile flow within the liver or in the extrahepatic bile duct system. Kinds include Dubin-Johnson syndrome, Rotor’s syndrome.
