condylar fracture

condylar fracture /kon″dilər/ [Gk, kondylos, knuckle] , any break in a condyle, a rounded projection on a bone at a hinge joint. Such fractures usually occur at the distal end of the humerus or the femur or at the end of a digit phalange, where the condylar fracture fragment may detach.
