cold agglutinin disease [AS, kald + L, agglutinare, to glue, dis, without; Fr, aise, ease] , a disorder characterized by autoantibodies that agglutinate red blood cells at below-normal body temperatures. They occur in the sera of patients with mycoplasmal pneumonia.
