cerebral aqueduct

cerebral aqueduct [L, cerebrum + aqueductus, water canal] , the narrow conduit in the midbrain, between the third and the fourth ventricles, that conveys the cerebrospinal fluid throughout the cerebrum, cerebellum, and brainstem. Also called aqueduct of Sylvius.
