carcinosarcoma /kär′sinōsärkō″mə/ [Gk, karkinos + sarx, flesh, oma, tumor] , a malignant neoplasm composed of carcinomatous and sarcomatous cells. Tumors of this type may occur in the esophagus, thyroid gland, and uterus.
