Brain’s reflex [Walter R. Brain, English physician, 1895–1966; L, reflectere, to bend back] , the reflexive extension of the flexed paralyzed arm of a hemiplegia patient when assuming a quadrupedal posture. Also called quadripedal extensor reflex.
