Bitot’s spots

Bitot’s spots /bitōz″/ [Pierre Bitot, French surgeon, 1822–1888] , white or gray triangular deposits on the bulbar conjunctiva adjacent to the lateral margin of the cornea, a clinical sign of vitamin A deficiency. Also called Bitot’s patches.
