Bell’s phenomenon

Bell’s phenomenon [Charles Bell] , a sign of peripheral facial paralysis, manifested by the upward and outward rolling of the eyeball when the affected individual tries to close the eyelid. It occurs on the affected side in peripheral facial paralysis.
