Achromobacter

Achromobacter /akrō′mōbak″tər/ , a genus of gram-negative, rod-shaped, flagellated bacteria that do not form pigment on agar. Most species in the genus are saprophytic, nonpathogenic organisms found in water, soil, or the human digestive tract, but they may cause infection in the compromised host.
