Basidiobolus

Basidiobolus /bəsid′ē·ob′ələs/ [Gk, basis, foundation + bolos, a throw] , a mainly saprobic genus of fungi of the family Basidiobolaceae. The species B. ranarum causes a mycotic infection called entomophthoromycosis in humans.
