vomitus

vomitus /vom″itəs/ [L, vomere, to vomit] , pertaining to the material expelled from the stomach during vomiting. Vomitus is sometimes classified by color or other appearances as an indicator of the cause of illness, such as a “coffee-ground” vomitus being a clinical sign of gastric bleeding.
