T tube

T tube, 1. a tubular device in the shape of a T, inserted through the skin into a cavity or a wound and used for drainage. 2. an apparatus used to connect a source of humidified oxygen to the endotracheal tube so that a spirometer can be attached for the evaluation of tidal volume.
