traumatic psychosis

traumatic psychosis [Gk, trauma, wound, psyche, mind, osis, condition] , a psychiatric disorder that results from injury to the head, with symptoms usually indicating brain trauma. It is differentiated from psychic trauma in which personality damage can be traced to an unpleasant experience, such as sexual assault.
