synovia

synovia /sinō″vē·ə/ , a clear, viscous fluid resembling the white of an egg, secreted by synovial membranes and acting as a lubricant for many joints, bursae, and tendons. It contains mucin, albumin, fat, and mineral salts. Also called synovial fluid.
