synkinesis

synkinesis /sin′kinē″sis/ [Gk, syn, together, kinesis, movement] , an involuntary movement by one part of the body when an intentional movement is made by another part. In imitative synkinesis, movement may be detected in paralyzed muscles when normal muscles are moved, and vice versa.
