sesame oil

sesame oil /ses″əmē/ , a liquid fat derived from the seeds of the plant Sesamum indicum. The seeds are demulcent and have a laxative effect. Both seeds and oil are used as food flavorings. The oil is also used in skin lotions, as an emollient.
