asyntaxia

asyntaxia /ā′sintak″sē·ə/ [Gk, a + syn + taxis, arrangement] , any interference with the orderly sequence of growth and differentiation of the fetus during embryonic development, resulting in one or more congenital anomalies. Kinds include asyntaxia dorsalis. See also developmental anomaly.
