sacculus

sacculus /sak″yo͝oləs/ pl. sacculi, a little sac or bag, especially the smaller of the two divisions of the membranous labyrinth of the vestibule, which communicates with the cochlear duct through the ductus reuniens in the inner ear. See also saccule.
