Rovsing’s sign

Rovsing’s sign /rov″singz/ [Nils T. Rovsing, Danish surgeon, 1862–1927] , an indication of acute appendicitis in which pressure on the left lower quadrant of the abdomen causes pain in the right lower quadrant. See also appendicitis.
