renal tuberculosis

renal tuberculosis, disease of the kidney caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis, usually from bacillemia in cases of pulmonary tuberculosis. Pathological changes include granulomatous inflammation and caseous necrosis of kidney tissue. Also called nephrotuberculosis.
