renal glycosuria

renal glycosuria [L, ren, kidney; Gk, glykys, sweet, ouron, urine] , a familial condition characterized by lowered renal threshold to sugar. Blood glucose levels may be normal, although sugar is excreted in the urine. Also called renal diabetes mellitus.
