regulatory CD4 T cell (Treg)

regulatory CD4 T cell (Treg), a subset of CD4 T cells that can inhibit inflammatory immune responses. Tregs can suppress the immune response either via secretion of antiinflammatory cytokines, such as IL-10 or TGF beta, or via direct interaction with other immune cells, such as dendritic cells.
