Purkinje’s cells

Purkinje’s cells /pərkin″jēz, pur″kinjēz, -jāz/ [Johannes E. Purkinje, Czech physiologist, 1787–1869] , large neurons with dendrites that extend to the molecular lay and provide the only output from the cerebellar cortex after the cortex processes sensory and motor impulses from the rest of the nervous system.
