perforating ulcer

perforating ulcer /pur″fôrā′ting/ [L, perforare, to pierce, ilcus] , 1. an ulcer that penetrates the thickness of a wall or membrane, such as a peptic ulcer of the digestive tract. 2. a deep, painless ulcer, often on the sole of the foot, of a person whose skin is insensitive because of a disease such as diabetes.
