oleoresin

oleoresin /ō′lē·ōrez′in/ [L, oleum, oil + resin] , 1. any natural combination of a resin and a volatile oil, such as exudes from pines and other plants. 2. a compound prepared by exhausting a drug by percolation with a volatile solvent, such as acetone, alcohol, or ether, and evaporating the solvent.
