nonossifying fibroma

nonossifying fibroma /-os″ifī′ing/ , a sharply circumscribed, eccentrically located lesion in the metaphyses of long bones in children. Microscopic examination reveals whorl patterns of spindle cells, fibrous tissue, numerous xanthoma cells, and occasional giant cells.
