neurinoma

neurinoma /no͝or′inō″mə/ pl. neurinomas, neurinomata [Gk, neuron + oma, tumor] , 1. a tumor of the nerve sheath. It is usually benign but may undergo malignant change. Kinds include acoustic neurinoma. See also schwannoma. 2. a neuroma.
